about me
I am currently a Software Engineer at Pinterest, bringing my passion for technology to life. In 2022, I earned my Master of Science in Computer Science, specializing in Machine Learning from UC San Diego. Before joining UCSD, I spent four wonderful years at PSG College of Technology (Anna University), where I graduated with a Gold Medal in Computer Science & Engineering. This was followed by several years of Software Engineering experience, where I worked on building and architecting complex, distributed, and data-heavy systems. My love for all things technical knows no bounds, and I am constantly seeking out new challenges and opportunities to learn and grow.
2023 - present day
As a key member of the ads serving platform team at Pinterest, I play a pivotal role in the development and scaling of an advanced ad delivery engine that powers a substantial portion of the company's multi-billion dollar ad revenue. Drawing on my expertise in software engineering and profound understanding of ad serving intricacies, I actively contribute to designing, implementing, and optimizing a high-performance system that delivers relevant and engaging ads to hundreds of millions of users worldwide.
2021 - 2022
During my graduate studies, I was actively engaged as a Graduate Student Researcher in the esteemed Bazhenov Lab @ UCSD. My research focused on the fascinating field of continual learning and the intricate loss surfaces of neural networks. I helped develop cutting-edge sleep-based continual learning algorithms and integrated them with ContinualAi's avalanche, which eventually became a part of the highly reputed PyTorch ecosystem. I was also a Software Engineering Intern at Pinterest during the summer, where I developed a ground-breaking graph validation engine for their ads serving business.
2019 - 2021
I embarked on my career as a Software Engineer at Arcesium (D. E. Shaw & Co.), where my skills in Java, Kotlin, Python, SQL/Postgres, Javascript, and Kubernetes quickly earned me a promotion to Senior Software Engineer in the Machine Learning department.
In this role, I have developed multiple scalable and robust applications that have been met with acclaim from users and fellow engineers. I also loved collaborating with UX designers and end-users to create products that are highly available and easy to extend for new clients. This experience has cemented my passion for Software engineering, Machine learning, and Full-stack web development.

Hobby-horses
In my downtime, I can be found wielding a pencil to sketch picturesque landscapes, using my mad editing skills to create the perfect video, and running down the soccer field. I also have a nose for the stock market and love reading up on all things finance. Whether it's a leisurely jog around the neighborhood or a grueling marathon, I am always up for a good run. But that's not all - I also enjoy tinkering with machines and experimenting with different types of cuisine. Furthermore, I am a devoted reader and frequently get lost in a good book, discovering new realms and expanding my knowledge. Whether it's a thrilling novel or a thought-provoking nonfiction work, I'm always on the lookout for my next literary adventure. If you're a fellow book lover, let's swap recommendations and chat about what we're currently reading! As a bonus, I am a huge P.G. Wodehouse fan.
If you'd like to discuss my projects, meme stocks, or just share cute pictures of your pets, drop me a line on email or LinkedIn or tap out a message in Morse code using a flashlight. I'll be more than happy to chat and exchange some laughs!
Until then, cheers!
